No to Heathrow Expansion

Re-Elect Dr Tania Mathias

Twickenham residents are badly affected by the level of noise from planes flying to and from Heathrow Airport. Whilst much attention is inevitably focused on the debate around a third runway, the status quo simply is not good enough. The Government and Heathrow Airport Holdings Limited need to do much more to prevent noise from many aircraft happening at such dangerously high levels.

I have worked with MPs and councillors from all parties to speak up against a third and fourth runway at Heathrow. I was honoured to address a rally against a third runway at Heathrow in Parliament Square; I chaired the Parliamentary group on Heathrow; and when MP for Twickenham I submitted a private member’s bill about aircraft noise pollution.
